Maybe you suddenly think back to March of two years ago and you were in the position as you are now, you haven't had chance to meet new people or see new places and you feel you haven't achieved anything except gained a couple of grey hairs.
Every day's the same.
Does anyone get depressed because the years are going by too fast and nothing's changing in your life?
The depressing thing for me is knowing my kids will soon be in college and I will be at home alone with the wife who is not very affectionate.
Does anyone get depressed because the years are going by too fast and nothing's changing in your life?
nou
Every day for about the past two years, and more than a couple of grey hairs!!!! i know ive got to do something...but ive not worked out what it is yet!!!!! but yeah i know exactly what you are talking about.x
Wow, the years are going fast, but the changes are coming fast too for me.
I meet lots of people and can't remember them all. I look older. My grandchildren are bigger and older. I have tried dozens of new foods. I keep finding new places in Atlanta that are interesting; new shopping, new restaurants, new food markets, new plant stores. I rode Marta for 10 days and now consider myself an expert, LOL.
Maybe you just need to change your routine. Make a point of getting out and doing or seeing something new at least once a week.
Life is good.
It's up to you if you want some changes in your life, only one person can change that, and that's you, don't get depressed over a few grey hair, try and do different things in your life, get out of your every day routine and try to meet different people.
Don't worry, you're not the only one. There are millions of us out there!
THE WORLD WILL END
Same here. I sometimes feel the same. For example, I'm from Brazil, a very beautiful country with lots of interesting places to visit but I hardly ever leave my city not to mention my state.
Everyday is the same old things, you know, the same job, the same people, the same places ...
Things like these do really put a damper on things and this is not the way life should be at all i guess.
I wish I had more money and time to do the things i really wanna do.
As you well said %26quot;time is going by%26quot; and soon enough we'll be old and useless with no chance to enjoy life anymore.
I hope we can both get over this soon!
how old are you? anyways this seems more like mid life crisis. cheer up, everyone goes thru this.
Yes, life is ****, its boring, nothing ever happens.
What you're describing is, I think, something just about anybody can relate to, because I don't know of anyone--myself included--who hasn't felt this way at one time or another. At least you've got plenty of company.
This can be a passing thing, a temporary case of the blues that can be shaken off by a small variation in the regular routine. Do something for yourself, something that you enjoy. Try something like a night out at the movies or an inexpensive day trip, or gather some friends for an impromptu party of snack foods and drinks.
I guess what I'm trying to say is to get out of the rut by doing something spontaneous.
If that doesn't help, perhaps you ought to try a heart-to-heart with a good friend of long standing--you might find that they're just as bored and tired of the same old same-o as you are, and maybe the two of you can plan to do something together to have a little down time.
If, however, this feeling of hopelessness is of long standing, or if you find yourself pondering an act that could hurt yourself or others, then I'd advise seeking professional help. Sometimes it's hard to distinguish when we just have a case of the blues or the blahs from real depression.
Good luck--hope you find something soon to perk up your outlook.
