Being a Christian is a commitment to Christ Jesus as well as Salvation is Christs Gift to us. This is what I am, prayed to be, repented %26amp; strive to have a better relationship with Christ.
Humanism, sounds like a word that could mean a person that lives for his/her self. Usually counting self as the most important object of attention, always in a state of want, EX. ~more cloths expensive shoes, more money, new cars, all for the big ME. We all need cloths, shelter, food, %26amp; usually a mode of transportation.
Christ teaches us to care for others, as we would our-selves. Speaking more of widows, orphans, %26amp; Christians that have fallen on hard times, always putting Jesus first. The Lord said, %26quot;If a man will not work he should not eat.%26quot;
This does not mean a man that lost his job, is trying to find another. Is working odd jobs to put food on the table or planting a garden. Making due w/what he has or doing without. What Christ is talking about is a man that just won't get a job, his wife works %26amp; comes home to a mess, she has to have a sitter because he can't be trusted to watch the children. If you look around it doesn't take long to see some one that fits that description.
I would venture to say there is no true (Christian) humanism. Humans without Christ are lost, can't see the kingdom of heaven. Christians are sinners Saved by Grace through Faith. Although we fall, %26amp; we fail we are to strive for the wisdom that is in God's Word %26amp; to help each other without judging to get passed this sin, admit it to God in prayer %26amp; actually be sorry. Then go forward again in our walk with Christ. Because Christ died, for us we can be saved. We will see the Lord in Heaven.
There is to much of a difference in the two to be put together as one, Christianity %26amp; humanism are two distinctly different things....I thank you for the question though, I had never really thought of this before, humanism isn't a word I use or dwell on so I hadn't ever given it a thought concerning Christ. You have a wonderful day %26amp; God Bless
How do you see it affecting or changing your life through christian humanism?
Christian humanism sounds like something not very orthodox, so I'm not likely to accept it.
How do you see it affecting or changing your life through christian humanism?
Christian humanism? Where is it? Have not seen it in my Life. Still suffering everywhere that could be eliminated if the Churches really cared. Churches have become Social Clubs.
Christianity has done nothing to improve the lives of man, adding an adjective to it won't help.
