Do those self-help books on Oprah Winfrey about changing your life really work?

I%26#039;ve seen some people on her show and their lives have been transformed.

Do you think if I read something by Jilly Cooper that my life might change?|||That would be an ecumenical matter.|||The only thing that transforms your life is believing in and following Jesus.|||they haven%26#039;t helped oprah, she has blobbed out again!|||no|||At least for the duration of a 60 minute interview.|||It is a load of fecking rubbish.|||Nope. You are the one who changes your life, not someone who writes a book. You can get tips from the book, but that only works if 1. you have the same problems as the author did, and 2. you actually take the effort to do more than just skim though it!|||if you bought a few copies and your short, they could make you temporarily taller!|||Agree with 6ofus on that one!|||Denis Leary was certainly impressed by Oprah -- he spends an entire chapter singing her praises in his new book, %26quot;Why We Suck: A Feel Good Guide to Staying Fat, Loud, Lazy, and Stupid%26quot;...|||Marketing Monsters like Dr. Phil and Oprah only show 5 minutes of some body%26#039;s life, improvements do not take place in sound bites but they can leave a permanent impression in your mind.|||Oprah Winfrey can%26#039;t even change her life for the better, so how can she make your life better. It is the Lord who changes hearts and minds. If you want to be transformed, seek Jesus with all your heart.|||Oprah is the modern day equivalent of the Snake Oil Salesman. Her audience are suckers.

Oprah has done wonders with her community work and charities but that does not change the fact that she is like the man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz a phony|||no father... cup of tea father?|||Did Oprah%26#039;s book on weight loss work?Nope!
