If changing your lifestyle in small ways like fewer takeouts, fewer restaurant trips, less entertainment and electricity consumption etc guarenteed an end to world poverty, could you and would you make the necessary changes?

I do without much more then a majority of the population now so I can not cut back any further. You should ask the very rich if they would ever do without anything themselves. The answer would be a big NO since their luxuries are a necessity to them.
